After a year, we are announcing an open call for the successful international project V4@Theatre Critics Residency intended for young theatre critics from Central and Eastern Europe up to the age of 35.
In view of the current pandemic situation, the residency will take place in two forms – live in Nitra during the International Theatre Festival Divadelná Nitra in October and online in November. The first residency will involve participants from the Visegrad countries, and the online version will be open to applicants from the Western Balkans and Eastern Partnership countries.
Over the course of 6 days, they will take part in an analytic seminar under the guidance of notable German theatre scholar Stefan Tigges, supplemented by the mentoring, expert advice and lectures of Croatian-born critic Darko Lukić. Participants Nitra will sit in at performances from the main programme and accompanying programme events, join a discussion on various socio-political topics and meet other professionals from within and without the field of performative art. Critics participating in the online residency will not miss out on the festival’s main programme either, and we will arrange discussions with creators and actors. The online seminar, too, will be led by Stefan Tigges alternating with Darko Lukić.
