On Wednesday, 12 June 2024, the 33rd edition of the International Theatre Festival Divadelná Nitra ended with the performance of the Drama of the Slovak National Theatre We are fine. The festival attracted more than 2 500 spectators to theatres in Nitra, Bratislava and Košice, and hundreds of visitors joined the accompanying programme. The shift of the date from early autumn to late spring transformed Nitra from 7 to 12 June into a lively city with an extraordinary range of artistic activities from literary recitation and staged readings to video-mapping to folk, popular and classical music. The new approach to the line-up of the accompanying programme, intended for the general public of all ages, is based on the principle of participation and cooperation with three dozen key cultural institutions and independent associations of different orientations operating both in Nitra and in other cities.
