A TULIP FOR YOU project will be presented again the 2025 International Theatre Festival Divadelná Nitra as part of the accompanying festival programme under the title JUNE TULIP. The Festival participation of visually disadvantaged children is the utmost activity of the year-round programme of the integration project. It is also an invaluable experience for the children. After all, most simply cannot go on a trip because of their disability and social dependence. At the 2025 Festival edition, visually disadvantaged children will again get together with the children with no vision challenges to jointly create an artistic object, play drums, and attend a stage performance and concert. The project has also been long dedicated to public for a long time to raise awareness about the world of the blind.

After two years, the interactive BLACK BOX object returns to the Festival square in front of The Andrej Bagar Theatre. It is a mobile setting for the sighted and the blind. As part of the presentation of the object, the public can get acquainted with basic aids for the blind, try walking with a white cane and learn the basics of Braille on a typewriter for the blind. To find themselves in utter darkness of the Black Box and try to prepare breakfast is a powerful experience for visitors.

A selection of over hundred drawings from the year-long work of visually impaired children will be on public display in front of The Andrej Bagar Theatre at the TULIP WINDOWS exhibition.
