22:00 – 23:30 Urania / Discussion on otherness: What is hatred born out of?
Discussion focusing on the life of queer people in Slovakia. Is LGBTI+ a homogenous community or a group of diverse individuals? What are the most frequent, most absurd or most painful prejudices that these people encounter in everyday life? Why did they become perhaps the most hated group in Slovakia today? What should have been the response by the public, the authorities and political élites to the terrorist attack on the café Tepláreň frequented by members of this community? Representatives of the LGBTI+ community in Slovakia will discuss these and other issues.
